Meditation with a Special Devotion to God - 2. Mindful Breathing Practice with Chanting -- Guided Practice
This practice based on the meditation lineages adhering to Patanjali's Yogasutra tradition shows how deep mindful breathwork greatly assist in establishing the Iśwara samāpatti (engrossment in godliness). The success rests upon synchronizing the breathing with quietening of the mind, while immersing in the chanting sound. His Holiness Swami Vidyadhishananda first guides by chanting Om using the method of pranava-gānam prānāyāma. Thereafter he guides the classical practice of So-ham breathwork where the practitioner is asked to focus more on the internal sound current during the breathing. Finally he guides a short meditation on Om in the heart to hone in on this mindfulness approach to engrossment.
